I am a wife and mommy. I work in higher education and love all things wellness -physical, environmental, financial, emotional, spiritual – you name it! This blog is focused more on financial, environmental and emotional wellness. I have been on a quest to simplify my life along with learning to live more frugally while maintaining a home I love.
I absolutely love buying things secondhand and giving them new life. I get a great buy while saving something from the landfill. I have been visiting thrift stores, auctions and yard sales since I was a kid. I love the challenge of finding a piece of junk and turning it into something usable again. My love of turning trash-to-treasure is inherited from my father. My Dad can turn any piece of old furniture into a beautiful piece of art. Through this blog, I hope to inspire others to find ways to reuse, repurpose and upcycle furniture, clothes and fabric while forcing me to become more creative with my finds all while living on a very tight budget.
